Happy New Year
2004-01-05
Happy New Year. Two days does not make a trend, but 2004 is starting
out like 2003 ended. Global equities are rising, metals are rising,
the US Dollar is getting smoked.
Interesting to note that the homebuilders are cracking and this may be
the time they do not bounce back. They excelled during the bear
market, but with equities and metals firm for the forseeable future,
those that want to short could look at this sector.
Silver remains our favorite place to be for a big upside trade along
with the other precious metals.
Energy looks to be very strong, and the large airline carriers may be
another area to suffer. They look tired from their great run of last
year.
Regards,
Howard Lindzon
